Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 Russian attacks, shot down two Su-25s and Ka-52 Alligator helicopter – General Staff report

As of 18.00 on 7 September, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks by the Russian invaders, managing to destroy two Russian Su-25 aircraft and a Ka-52 helicopter.

Quote from General Staff: "The enemy continues to focus its efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk Oblast, holding the captured areas of Kherson, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv oblasts.

[The Russian army] constantly conducts aerial reconnaissance of UAVs, and continues to take measures to improve the logistics support of its troops.

During the current day, the enemy launched more than 8 missile and 10 air strikes on objects on the territory of Ukraine."

Details: In particular, infrastructure was damaged in the areas of the settlements of Kharkiv, Tsyrkuny, Velyki Prokhody, Sloviansk, Siversk, Kramatorsk, Bohoiavlenka, Konstiantynivka, Dorozhnianka, Olhivske, Bilohirka, Kostromka, Sukhyi Stavok, Bezimenne, Andriivka and Bila Krynytsia.

On the Siversk, Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Novopavliv and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russians continue to fire at military and civilian facilities. Russia fires mortars as well as rocket and tubed artillery on Ukrainian positions.

On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russians opened fire from tubed and rocket artillery along the contact line. 

It is reported that the Russian occupation forces continue to violate all norms of international humanitarian law. So, in Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast, the invaders illegally hold about 40  local citizens in the local police station.

Residents are being forcibly evicted from the private sector of the settlement of Kozatske in Kherson Oblast.

Cases of placing weapons and military equipment in the courtyards of educational institutions are recorded.

In addition, the invaders continue to suffer losses. In Kherson Oblast, near Hola Prystan, just over the previous day, Russian losses totalled about 70 people; more than half of them were killed.

Near the village of Tavriysk, 2 Acacia self-propelled artillery units were destroyed; two more were damaged, and the loss of manpower is being clarified.

It also became known that one of Russia's artillery divisions operating on the Kherson front has lost up to 60% of its military personnel and equipment; so now, it is considered incapacitated. Due to logistics difficulties, there is a lack of fuel and ammunition in Russian units.

The Ukrainian defenders managed to successfully repel the attacks of the Russian invaders near Pytomnyk, Ruski Tyshky, Hryhorivka, Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Mykolaivka Druha, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Dolyna and Opytne.

During the day, the Air Force units delivered more than 14 strikes on strongholds and clusters of manpower and equipment of the invaders.

Air defence units of Ukrainian troops destroyed two Su-25 aircraft, one Ka-52 helicopter and two UAVs, all in different locations.
