Armed Forces of Ukraine liberate new cities and towns in south – Humeniuk

Ukrainian defenders have liberated some cities and towns in the south of the country, but the military leadership will report this officially only after the clean-up operation is over.

Quote: "We continue [fighting] positional battles. There are territories that we have already liberated, and there is an estimated time for declaring these territories as under the full jurisdiction of Ukraine.
Therefore, let's wait a little longer. We are preparing an official message about this, since we are making sure that these cities and towns, after all the horrors of the occupation for six months, do not suffer any massive artillery or airstrikes from the enemy.
Based on such calculations, the military command clearly determines when these cities and towns can be declared liberated and under Ukrainian jurisdiction.
The occupiers are leaving a mined territory behind, and this is one of the main threats that can have serious consequences for those residents who are in a hurry to return to these territories. Therefore, we are in no hurry to announce the liberation of cities and towns, so that we can carry out a thorough clean-up of sabotage groups and mines."
