Quote: "It became obvious why the Russian invaders so stubbornly tried to start the school year in the temporarily occupied territories.
In this instance, about 70 invaders are living on the first floor of the school building of the village of Orlianske, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, while children, including first-graders, are studying on the second floor, and enemy military equipment is stored in the school yard.
Teaching began on 1 September, and the situation here is similar to that of most schools and kindergartens in the Oblast. The enemy is cynically using our children for cover."
Details: The General Staff noted that, despite the attempts of the invaders and their henchmen, a significant number of educational institutions have not started teaching face-to-face.
"Propaganda activities organised by collaborators on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge with the participation of Russian officials also did not succeed," the report states.
Background: Ivan Fedorov, the Mayor of Melitopol, said that Russian occupiers have located their military bases in five schools in the centre of occupied Melitopol (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).
