Ukraine’s PM visits Scholz, proposes that a special EU and UN special mission be sent to the ZNPP

At a meeting of Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin, Shmyhal proposed that a special EU and UN mission be sent to the ZNPP.
Shmyhal posted about this on his Twitter account, European Pravda reports.
According to Shmyhal, the meeting discussed strengthening defence capabilities and further comprehensive support of Ukraine.
"Europe's energy security is on the agenda. Offered to send a special EU and UN mission to the ZNPP. Sure that Germany is a reliable and consistent partner of Ukraine," said the head of the government of Ukraine.
He also thanked Scholz for the initiative to hold a Recovery Conference in Berlin in October.
"Working on practical steps that will help start rebuilding as soon as possible. With the support of Germany, we are striving to strengthen cooperation with international financial organisations," the Prime Minister added.
During his visit to Berlin, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal also discussed arms supplies to Ukraine with the President of Germany.
The European Union has previously stated that it fully supports the work of the IAEA mission at ZNPP.
