Child killed in Russian attacks on Mykolaiv Oblast – Operational Command Pivden (South)

A Russian rocket hit a private house in the Bereznehuvate hromada (administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories) in Mykolaiv Oblast, killing a child. Another two children and an adult sustained injuries.

Details: Over the course of Saturday, 3 September, Russian forces used air-to-surface missiles twice to attack Mykolaiv Oblast. An X-59 missile launched from a Russian Su-35 aircraft on the Tsentralnyi (Central) neighbourhood of the city of Mykolaiv hit a private home, destroying the house and outbuildings. The owner of the house was injured.

The second missile, an X-31 launched from another Su-35 aircraft, hit a private house in the Bereznehuvate hromada, destroying a private house. One child was killed; another two children and an adult family member sustained injuries.

Moreover, the Russians used two Su-25 attack aircraft and four Mi-8 helicopters, as well as heavy artillery, mortars, tank guns and multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) to fire on the positions of Ukrainian troops and peaceful towns and villages in southern Ukraine over the course of the past 24 hours.

Around midday on 3 September, Russian occupying forces used Uragan (Hurricane) MLRS to fire on the Zelenodolsk hromada (in the Kryvyi Rih district, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast). Russian rockets damaged several multi-storey apartment buildings, a shop, several administrative buildings and industrial facilities in the city of Zelenodolsk. Nine civilians sustained injuries, including a child.

Russian attacks also damaged a private house in Velyka Kostromka, but there were no casualties.
