Quote: "The storage site was organised on the territory of the Izium tree farm where the 1st Tank Division of the Russian army was based while the city was under siege. All waste paper (leaflets – ed.) was brought from the territory of Russia. Among other things, the occupiers were spreading leaflets in the occupied territories, using aircraft".
Details: The State Investigation Bureau reports that the occupiers retreated, leaving behind a big arsenal in the storage site, including projectiles for multiple-launch rocket systems. These ammunition loads were handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the reports of the State Investigation Bureau, the 1st Tank Division also took part in occupying the town of Trostyanets in Sumy Oblast. However, the occupiers were not able to secure their positions either in Trostianets or in Izium, and retreated.
Background: The Forbes magazine estimated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had seized more military equipment from the Russians than it received from partner countries. In particular, within the period from 6 to 10 September alone, the Ukrainian troops seized 129 items of military equipment valued at approximately US$104 million.
