Ukrainian soldiers have reclaimed the town of Yampil, Donetsk Oblast, near Lyman city, which is now almost encircled by Ukrainian forces.

At the same time, Russian military propagandists massively reported that Russian troops "left Yampil."
Pushilin also said that the militants had lost control of Yampil.

Background: Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine probably completed the encirclement of the Russian group in the area of Lyman in Donetsk Oblast on the evening of 29 September. According to some reports, the Ukrainian military will be able to take the city if the Russians do not receive any reinforcements.
