Zelenskyy addresses indigenous people of Russia: Fight so as not to die

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has addressed indigenous people of Russia in Russian and called on them to fight their current government which is taking people to war with Ukraine.

Quote: "People of Dagestan should not die in this despicable and shameful war of Russia. Chechens, Ingush people, Ossetians, Circassians, and any other people who have ended up under the Russian flag. Almost 200 ethnic groups in total. You know who sends you to war in Ukraine. The one who sends you, wants to turn you into "200 cargo" [conventional term for killed soldiers – ed.]. 

And what do you want? I am convinced that you want to live. I am sure that you are tired of being lied to. I am sure that you know: you have to fight now! We see that you resist the criminal conscription, with which the Russian government wants to cover their regular army’s failure and their criminal orders. Fight so as not to die!"

Details: Zelenskyy has called on the indigenous people of the Russian Federation to defend their liberty in the streets and city squares in order not to fight for their right to live in mountains and woods. 

The President ended his address with the words of Taras Shevchenko, a Ukrainian poet: "Fight, and you will prevail!"

Previously: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 100,000 people had been called up in Russia since the draft was announced.
