Children's Ombudsman of the Russian Federation claims the children deported from Mariupol grew fond of Russia
Viktoriia Andrieieva — WEDNESDAY, 28 SEPTEMBER 2022
Maria Lvova-Belova, the Children's Ombudsman of Russia, claimed that 30 children from Mariupol who were deported to the Moscow region during the full-scale invasion have allegedly changed their anti-Russian views.
Lvova-Belova stated this at a briefing in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
According to the official, the negative attitude of these children towards the Russian Federation "has turned into love for Russia."
The Ombudsman referred to Ukrainian families as foster families, noting that the children were abandoned by their parents, and she "reported" on the heroic rescue of minors from basements in Mariupol.
She noted that all Ukrainian children were temporarily sent to families in the Moscow region. At first, according to Lvova-Belova, they spoke ill of the Russian President and sang the national anthem of Ukraine. By the way, Maria Lvova-Belova also took in a child for "re-education".
The propagandist said that she is seeing the "integration" of children from Mariupol. She claimed that the children were offered a brief opportunity to return home, and all allegedly refused.
The official also said that she considers "incomprehensible" the grounds on which the Ukrainian authorities demand the return of these children.
Earlier, propagandists made a video about the "rescue" of children from Mariupol and the Donetsk region, who were taken to the Moscow region. It was published by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol on 20 September.
The official has reported a significant increase in the number of deported children and their "resettlement" with foster families.
