Details: The detainees were also passing on information to the enemy about the geolocation and engineering features of fortifications near the lines of the eastern and southern front lines.

One of the detainees was a local businessman who was trying to establish a construction business in occupied Crimea. Employees of the Russian GRU offered him "cooperation" in exchange for resolving business issues. On the instructions of the invaders, he was supposed to collect intelligence on the defence of Kramatorsk.

Another Russian agent was detained in Pokrovsk – she was spying on the locations and movement routes of Ukrainian troops in the frontline areas of Donetsk Oblast and Zaporizhzhia.

To do this, she travelled around the territories of both regions and observed Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities. The data was sent to the invaders via messengers.

During searches of both detainees, law enforcement officers found mobile phones with evidence of hidden correspondence with the enemy.

Background: On 27 September, the SSU exposed a resident of the city of Rena in Odesa Oblast, who was reconnoitring the locations and movements of Ukrainian Defence Forces in the south of the Oblast for Russia.
