Quote: "I am expressing my gratitude to the people of Melitopol for their unwavering stance of resistance to the enemy.
No civilised state will recognize either the conducting or the results of the fake ‘vote’."
Details: Fedorov assured the public that the Ukrainian government will continue to pay pensions and salaries and facilitate all social guarantees in the temporarily occupied territories.
He also added that thanks to the citizens who provide information about traitors using the zradnyk@mlt.gov.ua email address, the authorities know the names of all the collaborators. The mayor promised that none of them will avoid responsibility.
Background:
On 23-27 September, the Russian Federation organised a propaganda action called "referendums" in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts of Ukraine, allegedly about "joining the Russian Federation".
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stressed that forcing people in these territories to fill out some papers at gunpoint by the Russian military is another crime committed by Russia in the course of its aggression against Ukraine. It violates the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, the norms of international law and Russia's international obligations.
