The number of people who took part in the sham referendum in Luhansk Oblast was the same as the number of those who were eligible to vote 10 years ago, in 2012, despite the hundreds of thousands of refugees who evacuated from the oblast.

Quote from Haidai: "Almost no one is surprised by the outcomes of this involuntary vote that took place over the last few days. Thousands are outraged, but only very few people are truly surprised.

Any sort of number can be conjured up, and any one can count blank voting slips or those that have been incorrectly filled out. It makes no sense to even call them ballots."

Details: Haidai said that 1.829 million residents of Luhansk Oblast voted in the Ukrainian parliamentary elections in October 2012.

Now as many as 1.662 million people are said to have "voted" in the sham referendum.

Quote from Haidai: "With a turnout of only 94%, we have 1.768 million people who had the right to vote but not the right to vote freely.

Given the catastrophic annual increase in the number of deaths compared to the number of births on the territory of the so-called ‘LPR’ [the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic], it turns out that according to the organisers of the sham referendum, the population [in Luhansk Oblast] has decreased by only 60,000 people over all these years.

These 60,000 [are supposed to] include not only those who died [over the past 10 years], but also hundreds of thousands of internally displaced people. Over 320,000 internally displaced people [who left Luhansk Oblast] were officially registered over the course of spring and summer 2022 alone. Many haven’t registered yet or are using a permit obtained 7–8 years ago. Tens of thousands of residents of Luhansk Oblast have left for Europe.

These 60,000 [are also supposed to] include those who were killed or injured since being forcibly conscripted by Russia in the course of its invasion. Probably prisoners of war and persons missing in action [are included in the number, too].

Many have also moved to Russia in those last eight years. Allegedly 99.35% of them, or 402,000 people, have voted there. All workers and refugees supposedly dropped whatever they were doing and rushed to get to the 181st polling station. Doesn’t matter if they had to go to a different city or even a neighbouring region.

Every vote has been counted!"
