Ukrainian Armed Forces strike nearly 30 concentrations of Russian personnel and equipment – General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out air and ground strikes on Russian forces, striking a total of 30 areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were concentrated.

Details: Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian invaders carried out 10 missile strikes and 17 airstrikes, as well as over 105 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS). Russian occupying forces are attacking civilian targets in violation of international humanitarian law and the laws and customs of war.

More than 40 Ukrainian cities, towns and villages came under Russian fire, including Kharkiv, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Mykolaiv, Avdiivka and Marinka.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets using tank guns, mortars and artillery:

  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front: areas in and around Strilecha, Krasne and Hrushivka;
  • On the Kramatorsk front: Ridkodub, Katerynivka and Staryi Karavan;
  • On the Bakhmut front: Spirne, Siversk, Serebrianka, New-York, Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Yakovlivka, Bilohorivka and Rozdolivka;
  • On the Avdiivka front: Avdiivka, Berdychi, Vodiane, Opytne, Tonenke, Krasnohorivka, Karlivka, Marinka and PAraskoviivka;
  • On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts over 25 cities, towns and villages came under fire from Russian tanks, mortars and tubed artillery, including Mykilske, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Neskuchne, Novomykolaivka, Vremivka, Temyrivka and Olhivske; 
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces fired artillery and mortar-launched bombs on over 30 towns and villages in the vicinity of the line of contact. Russian forces made over 25 UAV sorties in order to conduct aerial reconnaissance and carry out attacks on civilian infrastructure targets.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Zaitseve, Maiorsk, Zalizne, Mykolaivka Druha, Pervomaiske, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka and Bezimenne.

Ukrainian aircraft carried out 17 airstrikes, striking over 14 areas of concentration of Russian military personnel and equipment, 3 Russian strong points and 7 anti-aircraft defence systems on 27 September. In addition, Ukrainian air defence forces struck down a Russian aircraft, 6 UAVs and a Kh-59 guided cruise missile. 

Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 12 areas where Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment were concentrated and 4 anti-aircraft systems, ammunition storage points and electronic warfare systems (in particular, a Zhitel communication jamming station). Russia’s total losses have yet to be confirmed.
