Air defence shoots down two missiles in Odesa during air-raid alert

Air defence forces were activated in Odesa during an air-raid alert.

Details: Local media at first only reported a series of explosions. Later on, Odesa City Council reported that anti-aircraft defence forces were activated in Odesa.

Operational Command Pivden (South) later said that Ukrainian air defence shot down several Russian missiles.

Quote: "Two Su-35 fighter jets launched two air-to-surface X-59 missiles on Odesa Oblast from the Black Sea, [from] the Crimean direction.

Air defence forces shot down both missiles while they were still midair. Meanwhile, the enemy launched a similar attack on Kryvyi Rih [in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast].

Another Su-25 fighter jet launched an X-59 missile from the direction of Melitopol. [This missile] was also destroyed by the air defence forces."
