Quote from Podolyak: "The large-scale ‘gas leak’ from Nord Stream-1 – is nothing more than a terrorist attack planned by Russia and an act of aggression towards the EU. Russia wants to destabilise the economic situation in Europe and cause panic before winter."
Details: Podolyak added that the best response to Russia and investment in security is to provide tanks for Ukraine, in particular German ones.
Background:
- On the night of 26 September, the gas leak was recorded from both lines of Nord Stream-1 in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Denmark northeast of Bornholm Island. There was also a leak on one of the lines of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline.
- Nord Stream calls simultaneous damage to three strands of the gas pipeline unprecedented.
- In Germany, it is suspected that there are gas leaks on the branches of the Russian Nord Stream gas pipelines through the Baltic Sea as a consequence of deliberate actions.
