Quote: "There is a conscription task force on the border with Georgia, including representatives of the enlistment offices and representative authorities. They check whether a person is conscripted or subject to conscription as they leave."
Details: If it is confirmed that a Russian citizen is subject to conscription, he is issued a conscription notice.
It is reported that an estimated 5,500 cars are now queuing at the border. Crossing the border on foot is permitted at the Verkhnii Lars checkpoint.
- On 21 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilisation.
- On 26 September, the FSB sent an armoured vehicle to the border with Georgia, supposedly to ensure that reservists do not leave the country "without completing border crossing formalities".
