"Grain initiative": 9 bulk carriers export another 345,000 tonnes of grain

On Tuesday, 27 September, 9 bulk carriers exported 345,000 tonnes of agricultural products for countries of Africa, Asia and Europe; all vessels departed from the ports of Velyka Odesa (a collective name for the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi – ed.).

Details: Among the bulk carriers there are the biggest capesize MARAN EXCELLENCE (115,000 tonnes of grain) and NORD WIND, with 27,300 tonnes of Ukrainian wheat for Tunis on board.
Quote: "Since 1 August, 231 vessels carrying 5.29 million tonnes of agricultural products for the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa have left the Ukrainian ports", reports the Ministry of Infrastructure.
Capesize is a category of bulk carriers with a load capacity of over 150,000 tonnes.
Background:
Within the framework of the "grain initiative" on Monday, 26 September, 4 vessels carrying approximately 88,170 tonnes of agricultural products for the countries of Asia and Europe left Odesa and Pivdennyi ports.
