In occupied Melitopol, Russians are forcing Ukrainians to "vote" instead of [their absent] relatives and neighbours in a sham referendum, city Mayor Ivan Fedorov said.

Quote from Fedorov: "Due to the catastrophically low turnout of ‘voters’, members of the occupation ‘voting committees’ in Melitopol went for another door-to-door bypass.

A small number of city residents, who nevertheless opened their doors to the above-mentioned impostors, are forced to vote instead of [their] absent family members and neighbours. Instead of those who evacuated from the occupation."

Background:

An explosion rocked the city of Melitopol, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, at 07:00 on Friday, 23 September, on the first day of the sham "referendum".
