The State Border Service of Ukraine currently does not observe any provocations on the border with Belarus, but special attention is paid to this area.

Details: Journalists asked the spokesperson for the Border Service to comment on intelligence information about Russian mercenaries from Liga, the Russian private military company (PMC), who have arrived in Minsk (Belarus) and may be involved in organising provocations on the Ukrainian border. Demchenko noted that so far there have been no provocations in this area, but all defence forces keep this part of the border under tightened control.

Quote: "At the moment, fortunately, the situation is stable, and  the security and defence forces of our country are controlling the border line and are doing everything necessary to strengthen this area, because we are well aware that Belarus supports Russia in the war against our countries.

It is not ruled out... It has never been ruled out that units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus may enter the territory of Ukraine or may create provocations. Therefore, all the defence forces: border guards, armed forces, and national guardsmen are in their positions in this area to control the situation, to prevent provocations, and even more so, invasions."

Previously: The National Resistance Centre received certain information from Belarusian agents to the effect that on 20 September, 130 mercenaries from Liga, the Russian private military company (PMC), arrived in Minsk – armed and with ammunition. They allegedly received 300 units of Ukrainian military uniforms, which the Russians seized from warehouses in Kherson Oblast.

It was noted that the occupiers can use these mercenaries to commit subversive acts on the border between Belarus and Ukraine.
