Zaporizhzhia attack: Number of casualties rises to 9, people spent night in bus

On the night of 23–24 September, Russian forces carried out an attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia, damaging a residential building. One civilian was killed and nine sustained injuries.

Quote from Kurtiev: "A fire broke out in an apartment block [in Zaporizhzhia] as a result of the overnight attack. The fire has been extinguished.

Residents of the affected building were able to spend the night in a municipal bus, which was used to provide [shelter and] warmth.

Windows shattered in nine other apartment blocks. Windows and roofs in several private houses were also damaged."

Details: Kurtiev said that nine civilians sustained injuries, one of them has been hospitalised, and one person was killed.

People whose apartments were destroyed have been offered accommodation in the nearby kindergarten.
