Background:
- On 20 September, Russian troops tried to destroy the Pechenihy Reservoir in Kharkiv Oblast, but failed to do so.
- Oleksandr Husarov, the Head of Pechenihy village, warned the residents of Pechenihy and neighbouring villages about the possible flooding of their houses due to the Russian invaders striking the dam.
- Russians attacked the Karachunivske Reservoir Dam near Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast) with missiles three times between 14 and 16 September. As a result, hydrotechnical facilities were damaged, and the Inhulets river overflowed.
