In Kozacha Lopan, Russians tortured people in basements of railway station and store

In the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv Oblast, the National Police of Ukraine have discovered torture chambers of Russian soldiers in the basements of a local railway station and a store.

Details: On 20 September, investigators of the investigative department, police department No. 3 of the Kharkiv district police department No. 3 of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv Oblast, employees of Derhachi City and Oblast Department of Internal Affairs of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast, together with prosecutors, conducted an inspection of two basement premises in Kozacha Lopan, where civilians had been tortured.

Law enforcement officers are identifying the victims and collecting evidence.

The search was conducted within the framework of the criminal investigation into collaborationist activity (Article 111-1, Part 7 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for detention for a period of 12 to 15 years without the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years, with or without confiscation of property.
