Traitor to Ukraine Denis Podobedov in charge of air defence in Crimea – State Bureau of Investigation

Denis Podobedov, a former Ukrainian serviceman who switched sides and joined Russians in 2014, is now in charge of the occupiers' air defences in Crimea.

Details: 9 former members of anti-aircraft detachments of one of the Ukrainian military units, who switched sides after the occupation of Crimea, were accused in absentia by the State Investigation Bureau of Ukraine.
The list of suspects includes a chief of the staff, a battery commander, division deputy heads and other officers.
Apart from this, the reports said that these former military men facilitated the occupation of Crimea in 2014, and during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, most of them continued fighting on the Russian side.
One of them, Denis Podobedov, currently holds the position of the Deputy Commander of Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment, which puts him in charge of the Russian air defences in Crimea.
All 9 suspects are accused of desertion and high treason (Article 408, Part 1 and Article 111, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the sanctions for infringing those articles, the suspects are to face a sentence of 15 years behind the bars, with confiscation of property.
The procedural management of the pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the Vinnytsia Special Prosecutor’s Office for Military and Defence Affairs.
