Volodymyr Saldo, the Russian-appointed puppet governor of temporarily occupied Kherson Oblast, says he has returned to "perform his duties".

- Saldo, who had serious health problems in early August, had recorded a video of himself stating that he was under the supervision of "serious doctors" and was now working on the regional budget for the coming year.
- Saldo was hospitalised in Russian-occupied Crimea on 5 August. He was in a medically-induced coma and on assisted ventilation.
- It was reported that Saldo was going to be transported to a clinic in Moscow because his health had deteriorated. According to the Russian media, doctors suspected that Saldo might have been poisoned. According to other information, he had suffered a stroke.
- The Ministry of Defence of Russia later announced that he was "feeling better".
