Kremlin dodges question about possible nuclear weapon use

Asked about the possibility of [Russia] using nuclear weapons, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov advised "reading the doctrine".

Details: In response to a question about the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons in Ukraine, Peskov replied, "Read the doctrine, it’s all written there."
RIA Novosti notes that the Russian doctrine envisages the use of nuclear weapons by the Russian Federation:
- In the event of aggression against Russia or its allies using weapons of mass destruction;
- When the very existence of the state is under threat.
Note: US President Joe Biden has warned Putin of more serious "consequences" if Russia uses nuclear weapons.
