Ukrainian Armed Forces strike 13 Russian strong points – General Staff report

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck 13 Russian strong points, concentrations of Russian ammunition and equipment and five air-defence systems.

Quote: "[Russian] airstrikes, missile strikes and MLRS [multiple-launch rocket systems] attacks damaged infrastructure in over 30 cities, towns and villages, including Kostiantynivka, Druzhkivka, Kupiansk, Siversk, New-York, Marinka, Huliaipole, Myrne and Velyke Artakove.

The enemy carried out 11 missile strikes, 15 airstrikes and 96 attacks using rocket artillery on targets across the territory of Ukraine [over the course of 15 September]." 

Details: There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets using tank guns and various types of artillery:

• On the Sivershchyna front: areas in and around Luhivka (Sumy Oblast);

• On the Kharkiv front: areas in and around Hoptivka, Kozacha Lopan, Mala Vovcha, Zybyne and Strilecha; Russian forces carried out some of the attacks on this front from the territory of the Russian Federation;

• On the Sloviansk front: Dvorichna and Horokhovatka;

• On the Kramatorsk front: Pryshyb, Tetianivka, Kryva Luka, Ozerne, Pyskunivka, Raihorodok, Starodubivka, Bilohorivka, Siversk, Rozdolivka and Spirne;

• On the Bakhmut front: New-York, Lyman, Mykolaivka Druha, Zaitseve, Odradivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Yakovlivka and Vesele;

• On the Avdiivka front: Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Pervomaiske, Avdiivka and Vodiane;

• Russian forces did not undertake active combat operations on the Zaporizhzhia and Novopavlivka fronts, but shelled Ukrainian positions along the entire line of contact;

• On the Pivdennyi Buh front, Russian forces used artillery to fire on Ukrainian positions along the entire line of contact. In addition, Russian forces are continuing to conduct extensive aerial reconnaissance on the southern front; Russian operational-tactical aircraft made 34 sorties to carry out airstrikes on Kherson and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces have successfully repelled Russian attacks near Odradivka, Zaitseve, Bakhmut, Vesela Dolyna, Avdiivka and Novomykhailivka.

Over the course of 15 September, aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force carried out 18 airstrikes on concentrations of Russian military personnel and equipment to support the actions of the Ukrainian ground troops. The aircraft struck 13 Russian strong points and concentrations of Russian weapons and equipment and five anti-aircraft defence systems. Russia’s total losses have yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, Ukraine anti-aircraft defence units destroyed two Russian UAVs across different fronts.

Ukraine’s missile forces and artillery units fired on three areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were concentrated, striking Russian logistics hubs and pontoon crossings.
