Details: Russian forces conducted three airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops and landed four missile strikes on civilian settlements over the course of 15 September.

A Russian Su-30 jet launched two X-31A cruise missiles from the Black Sea on port infrastructure in the city of Ochakiv. Civilians were spared.

In the afternoon, a Russian Iskander cruise missile struck an industrial target in the Kryvyi Rih district (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast); there were no civilian casualties, either.

Several hours later, the Russians launched another two missiles on critical infrastructure targets in the Kryvyi Rih district in an attempt to cause an emergency.

Russian X-22 and Kinzhal missiles hit hydrotechnical facilities, but relevant services and organisations worked together to quickly eliminate the consequences of the strike. There were no casualties.

In addition, Russian forces used heavy artillery to fire on the Zelenodolsk hromada (an administrative unit designating the city of Zelenodolsk and its adjacent territory) in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, damaging several residential buildings in the village of Velyka Kostromka, but sparing civilians.

Russian forces launched a Kalibr cruise missile on Odesa Oblast from the Black Sea, but it was shot down and destroyed by Ukrainian air defence units.

Ukrainian aircraft conducted nine airstrikes and rocket artillery units carried out over 330 firing missions targeting concentrations of Russian military personnel, ammunition and equipment; an ammunition storage point in Beryslav; the Kakhovka bridge; and five pontoon crossings near Darivka, Sadove and Nova Kakhovka.

Operational Command Pivden (South) also reported that Russia’s losses in southern Ukraine on 15 September amounted to 71 soldiers and 27 pieces of equipment and weapons. The list included five tanks, 14 other armoured vehicles, a Grad multiple-launch rocket system, a Nona-S self-propelled and air-droppable mortar, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, a Shylka-2 self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle, two Msta-B howitzers and two 120-mm mortars.

Thirteen Russian ships are continuing to manoeuvre along the coast of Crimea, hiding from storms and the likely strikes on the Ukrainian Defence Forces. Three Russian naval cruise missile carriers and one submarine cruise missile carrier, armed with a total of 28 Kalibr cruise missiles, are on standby in the waters of the Black Sea.
