Kryvyi Rih missile strike: Over 100 houses and yards flooded

Over 100 houses and yards have been flooded as a result of the Russian missile strike on the city of Kryvyi Rih on 14 September, which damaged hydrotechnical facilities on the River Inhulets. Residents of the flooded areas have been evacuated.

Details: The State Emergency Service workers continue to deal with the consequences of the Russian missile strike on the city of Kryvyi Rih, which took place on 14 September.
The water level in the River Inhulets rose by between one and two metres in different parts of the river, as a result of damage to hydrotechnical facilities in Kryvyi Rih caused by the Russian attack. Over 100 houses and yards have been flooded. The State Emergency Service noted that residents of the flooded areas have been evacuated.
Emergency workers have been able to reduce the water level by 40 centimetres; it keeps falling. Rescue and emergency service workers were working on the scene throughout the night. At the time when this news piece was written, they were continuing their work.
Previously: Russian forces launched eight missiles on the city of Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, damaging the Karachunivske Reservoir dam, on the evening of 14 September.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine and Oleksandr Vilkul, the Head of the Kryvyi Rih Military Civilian Administration said that Russian missile attacks on the city of Kryvyi Rih were an attempt to flood the city.
Zelenskyy said that Russian troops are "villains who, having fled the battlefield, are trying to do harm from afar" and that this is "another reason why Russia will lose".
