Russian forces strike Sumy Oblast a total of 43 times on 14 September

Russian forces attacked the Sumy district in Sumy Oblast on 14 September: two hromadas (A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and its adjacent territories.) sustained damage after being struck a total of 43 times.

Quote: "Today the Russians fired on the Krasnopillia and Khotin hromadas in the Sumy district. They were struck a total of 43 times."

Details: Zhyvytskyi added that Russian forces opened artillery fire on the Krasnopillia hromada at 14:30, striking initially four times. Over the next hour, the Russians used self-propelled artillery systems to fire another 26 projectiles on the hromada.

The Russians used mortars and machine guns to fire on the Khotin hromada around 17:00. The hromada sustained several machine gun salvos and was hit by five bombs launched using a 120 mm mortar.

It was hit with another eight mortar bombs soon after 18:00.

Two private houses were damaged and a fire broke out as a result of the Russian attacks on the Khotin hromada; a State Emergency Service of Ukraine response brigade is working on the scene.

Zhyvytskyi said there were no casualties.
