Zelenskyy arrives in recently liberated city of Izium

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in the liberated city of Izium in Kharkiv Oblast.

Quote: "Earlier, when we looked up, we always looked for the blue sky. Today [14 September], when we look up, we are only looking for one thing - the flag of Ukraine.
Our Blue and Yellow [flag] is now flying above liberated Izium. And so it will be in every Ukrainian city and village. We are moving in only one direction – forward to our victory."
Details: It is reported that President Zelenskyy is now in Izium, recently liberated by Ukrainian paratroopers, where the state flag was solemnly raised.
Deputy Minister of Defence Hanna Maliar and representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other law enforcement units, which liberated the city from Russian invaders a few days ago, took part in the celebrations.
At the beginning of the ceremony, those present honoured the memory of the fallen defenders with a moment of silence, then the president thanked the soldiers for the liberated Ukrainian lands.
Background: The city of Izium in Kharkiv Oblast was occupied by Russian troops from 2 April 2022. The Russians withdrew from it on 10 September, leaving military equipment behind.
Izium was badly damaged during the fighting. It has no electricity, water or gas.
