Ukrainian army repels Russian attacks near 8 settlements – General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Spirne, Maiorsk, Odradivka, Vesela Dolyna, Vodiane, Avdiivka, Bezimenne and Novohryhorivka.

[Russian] airstrikes, missile strikes and MLRS [multiple-launch rocket systems] attacks infrastructure in over 33 cities, towns and villages, including Kharkiv, Lozova, Siversk, Bilohorivka, Mykolaivka, Verkhnokamianske, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Zaitseve, Yurivka, New-York, Pervomaiske, Kamianka, Vremivka, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Sukhyi Stavok, Kostromka, Bila Krynytsia and Myrne." 

Details: Russian occupying forces carried out a total of three missile strikes, 33 airstrikes and 58 attacks using rocket artillery, targeting military and civilian infrastructure across Ukraine.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.

On other fronts, the Russians continued to fire on military and civilian targets using tank guns, mortars and artillery:

  • On the Sivershchyna front: areas in and around Senkivka (Chernihiv Oblast) and Stepne (Sumy Oblast);
  • On the Kharkiv front: Basove and Kupiansk; 
  • On the Kramatorsk front: Yaremivka, Tetianivka, Raihorodok, Siversk, Bilohorivka, Kryva Luka, Spirne, Verkhnokamianske, Dronivka, Hryhorivka and Zvanivka;
  • On the Bakhmut front: Yurivka, New-York, Mykolaivka, Mykolaivka Druha, Zaitseve, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske and Yakovlivka;
  • On the Avdiivka front: Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Pervomaiske and Novomykhailivka;
  • On the Novopavlivka front: Velyka Novosilka, Novodonetske and Vremivka;
  • On the Zaporizhzhia front: Novopil, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne and Chervone;
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front: Tavriiske, Myrne, Ternovi Pody, Partyzanske, Chervona Dolyna, Bilohirka, Novohrednieve, Bezimenne, Sukhyi Stavok, Bila Krynytsia, Olhyne, Vysokopillia, Kamiane. In addition, Russian forces are continuing to conduct extensive aerial reconnaissance on the southern front.

Russian military personnel are setting up their lodgings in local residents’ homes, sometimes even making the owners leave their homes, in the Chaplynka district, Kherson Oblast.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces have successfully repelled Russian attacks near Spirne, Maiorsk, Odradivka, Vesela Dolyna, Vodiane, Avdiivka, Bezimenne and Novohryhorivka.

Over the course of 13 September, aircraft of Ukraine’s Air Force carried out 12 airstrikes on areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were concentrated.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian anti-aircraft defence units destroyed two Russian military aircraft (Su-25 and Su-24M), one Mi-8 helicopter and an unmanned aerial vehicle.

Ukrainian rocket and artillery units struck nine Russian command and control posts (brigade- and battalion-level) and three areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were amassed. Russia’s losses following these attacks have yet to be confirmed.
