Armed Forces of Ukraine repel Russian attacks near 6 towns and villages – General Staff report

Over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have successfully repelled attacks by occupiers in the areas of Maiorsk, Mykolaivka Druha, Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka, while the invaders keep trying to take control of the Donetsk region and other occupied territories.

Details: The Russian occupiers carry on with their tactics of terror and intimidation of the civilian population of Ukraine. Unable to respond on the battlefield, Russian troops are once again hitting critical infrastructure in peaceful Ukrainian cities with missiles.

Energy supply, water supply facilities, factories, and residential buildings in the cities of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk were hit by rockets and volleys from multiple rocket systems (MLRS). The infrastructure near the settlements of Pervomaiske, Bilohorivka, Zaitseve, Vesela Dolyna, Sukhyi Stavok, Shyroke, Partyzanske and Liubomyrivka was damaged.

In general, on 12 September, the Russian forces launched 5 missile strikes and more than 10 air strikes, and also conducted more than 20 attacks from MLRS on military and civilian facilities on the territory of Ukraine.

The situation on the Volyn and Polissia fronts has not changed significantly.

On other fronts, the Russian army fired at military and civilian infrastructure from tanks, combat vehicles, tubed and rocket artillery, namely:

on the Kharkiv front - in the area of Kostiantynivka and Udy;

on the Kramatorsk front - near settlements of Staryi Karavan, Sloviansk, Tetianivka, Pyskunivka, Raihorodok and Kryva Luka;

on the Bakhmut front - in the areas of Vesele, Mykolaivka Druha, Zaitseve, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut and Rozdolivka;

on the Avdiivka front - near Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske and Novomykhailivka;

on the Novopavlivka front - in the areas of Mykilske, Prechystivka, Velyki Novosilky and Vuhledar;

on the Zaporizhzhia front - in the areas of Novoandriivka, Novopil, Poltavka, Huliaipole, Vremivka, Malynivka, Zelenyi Hai, Mali Shcherbaky and Vilne Pole.

on the Pivdennyi Buh front, the occupiers opened fire from tubed and rocket artillery along the entire line of contact. In addition, the Russian army carried out aerial reconnaissance by UAVs; they conducted 56 flying missions.

During the day, the aircraft of the Defence Forces carried out seven strikes to support the actions of ground groups; five strongholds and places of concentration of manpower and equipment were hit, and two positions of the invaders’ anti-aircraft defence were destroyed.

As a result of fire, during the day of 12 September, units of Ukrainian rocket units  and artillery detachments hit control points of various levels and areas of concentration of Russian manpower. Occupiers’ anti-aircraft defence, electronic warfare, artillery units, ammunition, as well as storage areas of fuel and lubricants were in the affected area.

A mopping-up operation is also ongoing in the liberated territories, and there is still a high risk of mine danger. Mass crimes committed by the Russian forces on Ukrainian land. and facts of violations of international humanitarian law and the rules of warfare are being recorded.
