Belarus announces joint military exercises with the Russian Federation

The Belarusian Air Force and Air Defence Forces of Belarus will conduct military exercises in August, including on a Russian training ground.

Details: Operational-tactical exercises of the Belarussian Air Force and air defence forces with combat shooting will be held in Belarus and on the territory of the 185th combat training centre of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The press service reports that personnel, military and special equipment from aviation units, air defence troops and radio engineering troops, as well as combat formations of the Military Academy of Belarus will take part in the exercises.

According to them, the purpose of the exercises is to increase the coordination of units and military units during the execution of tasks.

Quote: "The combat training event will be held in two stages: in the training areas on the territory of the Republic of Belarus from 9 to 11 August; within the territory and airspace of the Ashuluk range (Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation – ed.) from 22 to 25 August."

Reminder: On 5 August, it became known that Belarus had extended military exercises on its territory for another week.
