Russia starts issuing Russian driving licences in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions

Centres of the State Auto Inspectorate of Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have begun to operate in the occupied Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts. They will issue driving licences and Russian-style vehicle registration plates to local residents.

Details: According to the announcement, residents of these regions who do not have Russian citizenship "will be able to obtain temporary driving licences and vehicle registration plates".
Russian-style licence plates with the region code 184 were being issued to drivers as cars were reregistered as early as 6 August in Kherson.
Background: Kherson was occupied by the Russians in the early days of the war.
Earlier, Russia began to distribute Russian passports in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.
