Details: Yuliia Yanzhula, a ZNPP worker, suffered a penetrating shrapnel wound to the chest as a result of the Russian shelling at approximately 15:30 on 7 August.

The woman has been hospitalised. She is in serious condition and is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of the municipal hospital.

Quote: "Constant attacks on the ZNPP and its satellite city of Enerhodar lead not only to significant damage to the plant, which is already an unprecedented act of nuclear terrorism, but also to a constant threat to the lives and health of Zaporizhzhia NPP workers and local residents.

Despite this, the Ukrainian staff continue to work at the station, in inhumane conditions, taking all possible measures to ensure nuclear and radiation security of our country and the whole world!"

Background: On the evening of 6 August, the Russian army fired rockets at the city of Enerhodar, hitting the site of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant directly next to the area used for storing spent nuclear fuel.
