Aimed at an apartment building from a tank: the Russian soldier is sentenced to 10 years in prison

10 years of imprisonment and penalty of the procedural costs in the amount of 26,600 hryvnias [approximately US$700] — the Desnianskyi District Court has handed down this sentence today, 8 August to the Russian tanker driver Mikhail Kulikov.

Details: In February, Kulikov targeted a high-rise building on the outskirts of Chernihiv from the tank.
Russian tankmen Kulikov and Shchetkin were captured by the Ukrainian military on 26 February on the outskirts of Chernihiv.
The suspicion states that before that, Shchetkin was driving a tank along Kiltseva Street in Chernihiv in the direction of Oleksandrivka. He gave the order to Kulikov to turn the turret of the tank and shoot at a residential high-rise building.
He hit an apartment on the tenth floor with a shot from a tank. The projectile destroyed the stained-glass window in the room, the window in the kitchen, the balcony, damaged the floor covering, the ceiling of the balcony and the kitchen, the interior partition, as well as the gas boiler and heating radiators.
The suspect asked Ukrainians for forgiveness in the courtroom.
