Zelenskyy: Russian "referendums" will foreclose future negotiations

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that if Russia holds its so-called referendums in the occupied territories of southern Ukraine, it will foreclose the possibility of future negotiations with Ukraine.

Quote: "Our country’s position remains the same as before: we will not cede anything that’s ours. And if the occupiers do hold these pseudo-referendums, they will foreclose every possibility of negotiations with Ukraine and the free world, which Russia itself will undoubtedly be in need of at a certain point."

Details: President Zelenskyy has noted that new messages are appearing each week this summer regarding Russian occupiers’ preparations for the "pseudo-referendums" in the Russian-occupied areas of southern Ukraine.

Zelenskyy has also said that everyone who in any way aids Russia in the organisation and running of the so-called referendums will be held accountable before Ukraine.
