With the school year set to begin on 1 September, Russian occupiers on the temporarily occupied territory of Kharkiv Oblast are threatening to take away children whose parents refuse to send them to school.

Quote: "On 29 August 2022, during the evacuation we obtained information that the ‘government’ of the occupied territories of Kharkiv Oblast is forcing all local residents to send their children to school.
The fake government has threatened all families with children that if they fail to send them to school this September, the children will be taken from their families by force."
Details: Kupiansk District Prosecutor’s Office in Kharkiv Oblast has started an investigation into criminal proceedings for violating the laws and customs of war.
