Quote: "A 43-year-old resident of the village of Slatyne was notified of being suspected of spreading information about the movement and location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)."

Details: According to the investigation, during the period of the village’s occupation by the Russian military, the Slatyne resident took the initiative to contact Russian representatives through a Telegram bot and from March to August supplied them with data about the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The perpetrator took screenshots of maps of the area, on which he marked the locations of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the city of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast, and sent these to representatives of the Russian Federation.

In particular, the prosecutors established that on 21 June, the artillery observer sent Russian representatives the location of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel in the village of Bezruky. The Russian military used this information to coordinate the subsequent strike.

The man was exposed when he moved to Kharkiv, fleeing further away from the front line.
