Background:
- Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggested that Russia is redeploying military equipment from Crimea after the strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as strengthening the air defences in the occupied peninsula.
- Even earlier, Business Insider, referring to a secret NATO report, reported that Russia decided to withdraw ten of its fighter jets from the occupied Crimea after the explosions there, which could possibly have been arranged by the Ukrainian forces.
