Ukraine is and will be among guarantors of food security – Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on the results of unblocking grain exports; he noted that Ukraine has already exported a million tons of grain.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "The export grain initiative has been working for almost a month, and during this time, the first million tonnes of agricultural products since 24 February were exported from three of our sea ports, Chornomorsk, Odesa and Yuzhnyi."

Details: Zelenskyy emphasised that the very fact that the supply of food to the world market has restarted makes it possible to prevent chaos on the market, relieves the acuteness of the food crisis, and prevents a catastrophic shortage of food.

The President is convinced that Ukraine was, is and will be among the guarantors of world food security.

He added that unblocking exports means job opportunities, income for Ukrainian companies, and, as a consequence, an increase in the state budget. Even more important is the fact that it provides funds for next year’s sowing.

Zelenskyy emphasised that the responsibility for preventing Russian provocations and disruption of exports rests with the partners of the grain agreement.
