Russia causes more than 813 million hryvnias worth of destruction to Mykolaiv

The mayor Olexandr Sienkevych of Mykolaiv stated that the Russian occupiers caused destruction to the city of more than 813 million hryvnias.

That's what he has reported on Telegram.

"As of today, the Russian occupiers have inflicted more than UAH 813 million worth of destruction on Mykolaiv. In total, we have about 250 damaged facilities including kindergartens, schools, hospitals, cultural and sports institutions," the mayor said.

Sienkevych noted that there were no injuries caused by the shelling of the city on Friday night, no one was injured, but six residential buildings were damaged, with more than 60 windows broken. 

In addition, about 1500 appeals from city residents regarding damage to residential buildings were recorded. The work is also continuing on plans to restore citizens' housing as soon as possible and prepare them for winter.

As of 1 August, the volume of direct losses to the Ukrainian economy from damage and destruction of residential and non-residential buildings and infrastructure (in monetary terms) increased to USD 108.3 billion or UAH 2.9 trillion. 

The Mayor of Vinnytsia, Serhii Morgunov, commented on measures to eliminate the consequences of the terrorist attack on 14 July, noting that the amount of damage caused by the Russians was 240 million hryvnias.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the only form that can be used to record the damage caused to the housing of Ukrainians by the Russian occupiers. The certificates submitted earlier will be digitised.
