Mykhailo Podoliak, advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has responded to an accusation made by Russia’s Ministry of Defence. He hinted that the occupiers in Zaporizhzhia Oblast had been poisoned with alcohol.

Details: Podoliak believes that Russian officials are constantly trying to "explain away their obvious failures using anecdotal and absurd conspiracy theories".

Quote: "So, having attentively studied the official statement from the Ministry of Defence of Russia concerning the poisoning of soldiers from the Russian occupying army in the town of Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and their accusation that Ukraine is using ‘chemical weapons’ (they are being deadly serious when they say this, by the way), we can state the following (in all seriousness as well):

Excessive use of cheap unlicensed alcoholic beverages in 40-degree heat, paired with consumption of ‘Russian army’ dry rations past their use-by date, can absolutely lead to unpredictable consequences.

The Ukrainian land will never welcome Russian occupiers. Never-ending vomiting is the least severe fate awaiting you here. Yet we do realise that expecting you to be sensible is futile, so keep on telling those ‘tales of goodwill’ about the mass consumption of ‘alcohol chemical weapons’."

Background: Earlier on Saturday, Russia’s Ministry of Defence claimed that Russian soldiers had been poisoned in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

A type "B" botulinum toxin had allegedly been used against the occupiers, and Russian military doctors confirmed the presence of an artificial poison in the organisms of hospitalised soldiers.

The occupiers also said they have decided to conduct an additional investigation into the "poisoning" of Vladimir Saldo, the so-called "Head" of Kherson Oblast, with "chemical warfare agents".
