Quote: "Two residents of the Vyshgorod district of Kyiv turned out to be traitors who helped Russian troops during the temporary occupation of parts of the Kyiv region.
In order to find information about the movement routes and locations of West-supplied weapons and pass this on to the enemy, one of the traitors went to a neighbouring region and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine; the other wanted to join one of the territorial defence units near Kyiv.
Details: It is reported that during the temporary occupation of parts of the Kyiv region, two suspects took an active part in the so-called filtering measures, searching for Ukrainian patriots among local residents who resisted the Russian invaders.
It was also established that traitors tortured a boy for helping units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to identify equipment and locations of the Russian troops.
After the liberation of Kyiv Oblast, traitors remained in the territory of the region and continued subversive activities against Ukraine, but the Security Service of Ukraine exposed them.
During searches of the detainees’ residences, law enforcement officers found components for improvised explosive devices and means of communication that the collaborators used to communicate with their Russian "handlers".
The men were informed that they were under suspicion of treason under the terms of martial law. The court chose to order their detention as a preventive measure.
The connections of the traitors with representatives of the special services of the Russian Federation are being checked.
