Ukrainian aircraft deliver 11 airstrikes on Russian positions – Operational Command Pivden (South)

On Friday, 19 August, the aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in southern Ukraine struck Russian positions 11 times.

Quote: "Over the course of the day, two [Russian] amphibious assault detachments, supported by tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery, conducted assault operations on the Blahodatne – Partysanske axis in order to improve the [enemy’s] tactical positions.
In the evening, a [Russian] platoon attempted to advance from Oleksandrivka to Tavriiske. They failed and retreated.
Limited in how much they can move on land, [the Russians] resorted to an already familiar tactic of using attack aircraft and helicopters to carry out strikes along the line of contact. We [i.e., the Ukrainian troops in southern Ukraine - ed.] have not suffered any losses."
Details: The Russians used heavy 152-mm calibre artillery to shell the city of Marhanets and used Grad multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) to fire on the Myrove hromada (amalgamated territorial community) in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Several civilians have been injured, a social infrastructure facility has been destroyed, and five private houses have been damaged.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian aircraft conducted 11 airstrikes on Russian positions in the vicinity of Oleksandrivka, Blahodatne, Velykopillia, Novopetrivka, Kostromka, Bilohirka and Bruskinske.
As part of their combat missions, rocket-artillery units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces inflicted the following losses on the Russian forces: 17 military personnel, a Zoopark-1 counter-battery radar, and four armoured and other vehicles. Russia’s total losses have yet to be confirmed.
Twelve Russian ships and boats are manoeuvering along the coast of Crimea in an attempt to avoid being struck. Russia continues to maintain on standby two naval missile carriers armed with 16 missiles, and two dock landing ships.
