On Tuesday, 2 August, the mandatory evacuation of civilians from the Ukrainian-controlled territory of Donetsk Oblast began.

Quote from Vereshchuk: "The first train arrived in Kropyvnytskyi this morning. Women, children, elderly people, many people with limited mobility. Everyone was met and accommodated, everyone was helped."

Details: Vereshchuk thanked local services, volunteers, international organisations, as well as Andrii Raikovych, head of the Kirovohrad Oblast Military Administration.
