Russian occupiers say their air defence "hit its targets" following new explosions in Sevastopol

On the evening of Friday, 19 August, the residents of Sevastopol, a city in Russian-occupied Crimea, reported that they heard the sounds of explosions. Head of the Russian occupying "government" in Sevastopol claimed that the sounds accompanied the working of Russian air defence systems which, as early reports indicate, brought down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Details: Russian and Crimean journalists reported that Russian air defence systems were operating in Sevastopol.
A local Telegram channel said that the system could be heard launching nine missiles over the course of just one minute.
Mikhail Razvozhayev, the so-called "governor of Sevastopol", said that explosions could be heard in central Sevastopol. He said that the information he obtained indicates that the [Russian air defence system] brought down its targets.
Quote from Razvozhayev: "I am currently at work in the government. Just like many other residents [of Sevastopol], [I] heard the blasts in the city centre. Similar ones could be heard earlier near Strilka.
Air defence system was operating in the bay. Naval artillery is at its core [i.e., presumably, he means that it is at the core of the Russian air defence system - ed.]. It’s the same as what happened yesterday. Early reports indicate a UAV [has been struck down]. The targets have been hit."
Earlier: Russian and local Telegram channels reported explosions at a Russian military airfield in Sevastopol. The occupying "authorities" claimed that air defence was operating in the region.
