As of 13:00, two more people deceased in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv after a Russian rocket hit a hostel on 18 August.

- At dawn on 18 August, the Russians launched five rocket attacks on Kharkiv, hitting Slobidskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts. A four-storey residential building and the roof of the tram depot building were partially destroyed.
- On 19 August, about 11:00, the Chief of Police of Kharkiv Oblast reported that 4 people had died as a result of the strike on the Slobidskyi district.
