Rocket attack on Kharkiv: death toll rises again

As of 13:00, two more people deceased in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv after a Russian rocket hit a hostel on 18 August.

Quote: "9 people were saved, including 2 children. In total, the bodies of 6 dead people, including one child (a boy born in 2009) were removed from under the rubble."

Details: According to the rescuers, the search and rescue operations have been completed. 

Background: 

• At dawn on 18 August, the Russians launched five rocket attacks on Kharkiv, hitting Slobidskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts. A four-storey residential building and the roof of the tram depot building were partially destroyed.
• On 19 August, about 11:00, the Chief of Police of Kharkiv Oblast reported that 4 people had died as a result of the strike on the Slobidskyi district.
