Russian ferry Lavrentii arrives in Mariupol
ALONA MAZURENKO – WEDNESDAY, 17 AUGUST, 20:08
Empty Russian ferry Lavrentii has arrived at the port of captured Mariupol, which is in line with the instructions of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
Source: Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol mayor's adviser, on Telegram
Quote from Andriushchenko: "The Lavrentii ferry finally docked at the Mariupol port. A long journey from 1 to 16 August instead of the announced 7 hours.
The ferry arrived empty. Like a real pirate, with the identification systems turned off.
Something will be picked up at the port of Mariupol and taken to Yeysk [a town in Krasnodar Krai, Russia]. Apparently, the people of Mariupol did not expect looting, but what else do you expect from Russia?"
Details: Later, Andriushchenko added that the Russian ferry arrived in Mariupol for exclusively military purpose.
The official also quoted the words of the ship's representative who stated that "the ferry made a planned transition in accordance with the plans of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation from the port of Yeysk to the port of Mariupol."
Propagandists claim that this is a "test" trip, and Russians want to launch the regular ones from 5 September.
