The Russian invaders once again abducted the head of the territorial hromada (amalgamated territorial communities) in Kherson Oblast. This information comes from the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council, Yurii Sobolevskyi.

Quote from Sobolevskyi: "On 16 August 2022, at about 11:00, the head of the Verkhniorogachytsk hromada, Svitlana Korotun, was abducted from her own home. She was taken to an unknown destination, probably to Kakhovka."
Details: According to the Regional Council representative, Korotun rejected all offers to cooperate with the Russians.

- On the morning of 9 April, it was reported that the occupiers kidnapped the former head of the Kherson Oblast State Administration Andrii Putilov.
- On 13 April, it became known that the Russian military abducted Volodymyr Kurikov, a deputy of the Skadovsk Regional Council.
